New Up Close and Personal events launched to high acclaim The first in the Delta Chamber’s brand new series of events, Up Close and Personal, was a highly rated success thanks to our host, F.A.S.T. manufacturer and supplier of customized safety management products and training services. On January 16, 18 people participated in the event at F.A.S.T.’s manufacturing facilities on River Road in the Tilbury area for a networking session, tour, lunch and presentation. F.A.S.T. is the only Canadian manufacturer of Transport Canada approved emergency food and water rations, and one of only five manufacturers worldwide. >>click for more information>> BCIT postponement of first two in series Another excellent business workshop series by the Business faculty at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) is in progress through the Delta Chamber of Commerce. Because feedback indicates that the first two sessions have been offered too early in the new year, they are now postponed to March – dates to be confirmed soon. The new Authority formed with the merger of the former Vancouver Port Authority, Fraser River Port Authority and the North Fraser Port Authority. Until his latest appointment Mr. Podovinikoff was Chair of the Fraser River Port Authority.
