Port Authority chooses lead candidate in negotiating development of Terminal 2 in Delta
Vancouver Fraser Port Authority (VFPA) will negotiate a business agreement over the next four to six months with its newly announced lead candidate to develop Terminal 2 at Roberts Bank. After a complex and lengthy selection that began with 13 original bidders, the Port Authority has selected a joint venture between APM Terminals North America (a member of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group of Denmark) and SNC-Lavalin (APM Terminals/SNC-Lavalin), as the preferred proponent for the Terminal 2 Project.
Southlands Development Update on April 30
After 18 months of work by the Southlands Community Planning Team, Sean Hodgins, of Century Group, will present an update on plans being considered for the future of 530 acres of land in Tsawwassen known as the Southlands. This presentation, to the Tsawwassen Business Association, comes in advance of a design charette in May.
“Greener” buses, more frequency for public transit South of the Fraser
As of April 21 south of the Fraser River residents were scheduled to start experiencing Translink bus services on some routes with new, quieter, clean-diesel coaches. More frequent transit routes offering service every 15 minutes or less, 15 hours a day, every day are also scheduled.
