The New Up Close and Personal Series
proves to be a hit to start 2008 Chamber events

The first in the Delta Chamber’s brand new series of events, Up Close and Personal, was a highly rated success thanks to our host, F.A.S.T. manufacturer and supplier of customized safety management products and training services.

On January 16 the family-owned business, founded in 1988, hosted 18 people at its manufacturing facilities on River Road in the Tilbury area for a networking session, tour, lunch and presentation. F.A.S.T. is the only Canadian manufacturer of Transport Canada approved emergency food and water rations, and one of only five manufacturers worldwide. >>click for newspaper article on FAST>> and >>click for FAST website>>

The event earned a 94% customer satisfaction rating overall. Comments included “Well done,” + “This was great – well organized” + “Excellent format” + “The amount of time given to network was perfect” + “Keep them coming.” Participants also indicated that they were interested in attending more Up Close and Personal events. Kathie Madden, of Kathie Madden Events, organized this event on behalf of the Chamber. Photos below.

The purpose of the new Up Close and Personal business-to-business networking series is to allow participants to experience Delta-based businesses firsthand when those businesses host events at their own facilities and provide worksite tours and hospitality.

The next Up Close and Personal event is at Maersk Distribution Canada Inc. (formerly HUDD Distribution) 8400 River Road in the Tilbury area on Thursday, February 28, 2008, 10:30 am to 12:30 pm., including lunch.
